Automation, smart manufacturing and autonomous systems have made mechatronics one of the most important interdisciplinary fields of engineering. By combining mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering with control, computer science and artificial intelligence, mechatronics enables systems that perceive their environment, make decisions and act intelligently.
The Department of Mechatronics trains capable engineers, develops advanced technology and carries out applied research in the design and construction of intelligent systems, playing a central role in digital transformation and Industry 4.0.
