Biography
Dr. Rezaei ranked fourth in Iran's national scientific competitions (1994), won a silver medal in the national Mathematics Olympiad (1995) and was selected for the Physics Olympiad (1996). He entered Sharif University of Technology's electrical engineering programme with a national rank of 8 and received the Schlumberger Grand Prize for the best undergraduate project of 2001, a bioreactor for food applications. He was named national exemplary student in 2009.
He joined the mechatronics faculty in 2013 and founded the Intelligent Mobile Robots Laboratory in 2014, focusing on machine learning and AI. In collaboration with researchers in Australia and the UK the lab runs health-care projects, including a widely cited system that predicts sepsis twelve hours before onset.
As a broker for Iran's national technology market he raises capital for start-ups and commercialises research through the Tanin network, recognised as a top technology market in 2020.
